Unique opportunity in the OEM Business Operations Support team, part of Customer Operations/Partner Business, providing quote & project management support for the Industry OEM business.
(LOCATION OPEN Eastern & Central Time Zones)
As a hybrid role, this position will provide quote & project management support for OEM Business Development Specialists(BDS) in a dedicated region and serve as a flex resource for the OEM Business Operations Support team. As flex resource, this position will provide quote & project management support, assistance, mentoring, and backup for the OEM support team. This position will require someone whom is customer centric, flexible, self-starting, adaptable, understands fostering relationships with internal and external business associates and customers. The Individual must also possess strong communications skills and be team oriented.
Project Manager:
Review and validate the project's purchase order and bill of material, including both technical and commercial elements, becomes lead contact for customer through the balance of project order.
Validates a project schedule and communicates with the customer to ensure expectations are being met. Direct engagement with the internal manufacturing facilities and third party vendors.
Monitor the execution of the customer's project order, verifying execution of the project through kick-off meetings, communication to all parties and exchange of technical requirements and project plan information.
Monitor the performance of the customer's project through its life cycle. Key activities include task completion verification, project team monitoring, schedule reporting and issue resolution.
Lead the closeout of the customer's project to include financial reconciliation, verification of job site equipment arrival, installation, start-up, and training support completion through review of internal system information, contact with the customer, and coordination with support services such as field services, after-shipment support, and training functions.
Quotation activities:
The individual in this position will utilize technical knowledge to prepare quotation packages based on the product content and may perform Bill of Material preparation for some large, complex OEM projects.
Must possess the ability to interpret customer requirements, match products to customer specifications/drawings and ensures that the quote is technically compatible and competitive by communicating with the BDS to determine/clarify project requirements.
Understands, analyzes, documents and communicates contractual, technical and commercial terms and has a working understanding of bid strategies and market conditions. Gathers, understands and clearly communicates the bid strategy to the price management team. Negotiation skills are a strong benefit.
This individual will hand-off a quotation package with comments on exceptions and built in value for use by the BDS in customer presentations and has an understanding of the BDS strategy for the quotation opportunity to ensure quality output. Involved in order handoff process, as needed, to ensure proper order conversion.
One-time customer quotes will also be required. Must submit, negotiate and quote customer Bill of Materials
(BOMs) to provide a competitive price. Product cross references may be required based on the request.
Qualifications:
BS technical degree or equivalent work experience of a technical nature required. 3-6yrs related experience. Proficient in the use of Quote2Cash(Q2C), SE Advantage, Salesforce.com(bFO), Microsoft office suite. The individual in this position MUST have the ability to interpret specifications and competently quote projects with the following Partner & Industry products (Listed in order of preference): LV Motor Control Center, Enclosed and open style VFD Systems, QED Switchboards, NT & NW Masterpact Breakers, NEMA & IEC Style Contactors/Starters, Lighting Panelboards, LV transformers, Circuit Breakers & Enclosures, Control & Signaling Products and Safety Switches.
Knowledge of Automation products (PLC's, HMI's, Motion) is a strong benefit.
Will have a basic understanding of competitor products and must be an expert on the use of Product configurators/order conversion/change order management/pricing request. Must be able to effectively learn and utilize company software programs/collaborative tools. Must also have the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
Additional responsibilities will include: Claims/Credits/Backlog Management, bFO (SalesForce.com) Case Management, RCM (Request Complaint Management), Customer SPA (Special Price Agreement) Understanding.
