Warehouse Supervisor, Florence KY - 1st Shift - This position is responsible for leading work team(s) to ensure success in attaining stated objectives. Incumbent ensures the resources, skills, training, materials and information are available to the team to safely receive, inspect, package and ship a quality product, which meets customer expectations and schedules. This role required a BA degree and experience in a continuous improvement culture.
Responsibilities for the Supervisor
Provide on-going support for union-free environment through accessibility, responsiveness and consistent application of policies/procedures.
Ensure safe and productive plant operations through employee training and resolution of safety issues.
Support the communication efforts for the Distribution Center through the Formal Communication Process and consistent discipline. Serve as communications link between team(s) and organization.
Accountable for leading team in work process improvements to attain AOP objectives. Coach team members for increased performance, counsel and take corrective action when necessary.
Develop and promote an environment where team members coach other team members to the point where teams/employees are empowered.
WMS experience, ie RedPrairie, highly desirable
Requirements for the Supervisor
Bachelor degree with (3) or more years of experience supervising/leading others.
Experience in a distribution center or warehouse highly desired
Excellent oral and written communication skills required, with the demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills in motivating, problem solving, counseling, evaluating, and training team members.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Experienced in Lean Principles, Six-Sigma Green Belt preferred
