Responsibilities:
Monitors shop/line performance versus demonstrated standards. Initiate required action and assist shop floor personnel with machine and process troubleshooting.
Demonstrates commitment to a zero injury safety culture. Monitors OIS and assures timely appropriate action and communication.
Improve Hazard Recognition and Risk Tolerance. Change Agent
Implements and manages Conduct of Operations elements including safety/housekeeping, shift handover, closed loop communication.
Serves a key role in maintaining normal operations by providing expertise in solving operating problems through the application of practical experience and know-how.
Maintains continuity and communication between the shifts and provides needed assistance for product quality
Assists in maintaining unit knowledge and provides training on new equipment and procedures. Define and administer operator training.
Will be on call to respond to unit needs and support unit personnel with troubleshooting.
Ability to work Hands-on in the field.
Ability to work with outside compounding tollers, provide technical support and ensure quality standards are met
Qualifications:
5
years experience in a compounding/extrusion/polymer operation
Ability to communicate (Written and Verbal) effectively with a wide variety of personnel including management, operations, engineering and vendors
Good
computer
skills (MS Office, SAP, MES, BizFlow & OIS)
Demonstrated leadership experience either formal or informal
Working knowledge of 5S and Six Sigma processes
Working knowledge of Root Cause Analysis
Ownership of the process and the unit goals
Working knowledge of Compounding Operations
Knowledge of CWP (Celanese Work Process)
Knowledge of Conduct of Operations
Education:
HS dipolma or equivalent
Desired skills and Abilities:
Ability to develop and implement plans and proposals, obtain buy-in from peers and management
Demonstrated ability as project coordinator and/or turnaround coordinator
Achieved Lean Sigma Certification
Achieved Green Belt Certification
Good Presentation skills
Participate/ and lead unit safety meetings.
Establishes priorities, plans, and effectively utilizes resources to achieve specific goals and objectives in a timely manner
Ability to lead RIT projects
