Summary:
Develops and manages a commercial banking relationship within the established policies of the Bank.
LEVEL DIFFERENTIATION:
Either works primarily from one of the Bank's urban market areas (Lexington, Louisville, Northern KY); or works from a rural market with a minimum of 3 years direct small business and/or commercial lending experience and has demonstrated ability to grow own commercial loan production.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Must meet one of the following:
Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting or related area and either of the following:
o two to four years in lending o two to four years' banking experience in related department which offers direct exposure to lending policy/guidelines (i.
e.
credit analysis, loan review, banking center management, etc.
) Associate's degree and six years' experience in lending and/or banking experience in related department which offers direct exposure to lending policy/guidelines Greater than 10 years' experience in a lending related position which offers direct exposure to lending policy/guidelines QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED:
Good computer skills with a working knowledge of Word, Capital Stream, EnAct, Appro and Excel Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proven strength in credit analysis, problem solving, negotiation, business development, organization, time management, interpersonal skills and customer service ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
1.
Maintains and manages a commercial loan portfolio for operating companies and the key individuals within those companies to include:
receipt of loan request, evaluation of financial statements, structuring loan with respect to rate, term and collateral to remain competitive and maximize profit, cross-sell other bank services, and monitor repayment activity to keep past due accounts under control in accordance with the established policies of the Bank.
2.
Develops and manages commercial deposit accounts and personal deposit accounts in a manner that will provide the bank with maximum profitability.
3.
Represents the bank on various civic boards and in community activities.
Makes presentations to schools and civic groups on lending-related topics.
Participates in bank programs for college interns, EBCE students and shadowing.
4.
Assists in the preparation of the departmental budget.
5.
Develops and maintains an active prospect base for solicitation purposes in order to expand the existing loan and deposit base.
6.
Actively participates in the Officer Call and Sales Integration Programs to develop new lending and/or deposit relationships for the bank.
7.
Assists in the development of intermediate goals and long term objectives for the Commercial Lending area.
8.
Performs other duties as assigned.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
