Job summaryAWS Infrastructure is looking for a talented, driven, and highly analytical, Senior Manager for Americas Reverse Logistics Operations with demonstrated experience driving process improvement.
This employee manages a team responsible for on-going operations management of the next generation Reverse Logistics for Amazon Web Services and will manage vendor(s) critical to the successful decommissioning of retired hardware.
Achieving such aspirational goals will require this individual to insist on the highest standards, develop and iterate on new processes and capabilities, and drive continuous improvement activities both internally and externally.
All while exceeding the AWS safety and security requirements.
Reverse Logistics is critical to protecting AWS and its customers, while freeing up DC capacity and driving maximum reuse for sustainability and financial benefits.
This is a new organization and new capability requiring a strong subject matter expert and leader to blaze the trail for AWS across de-manufacturing, Failure Analysis, and disposition.
RESPONSIBILITIESTEAM LEADERSHIP Management responsibility for de-manufacturing, failure analysis, and disposition operations for the Americas Hiring of technical and non-technical team members Regional leadership/sponsorship for strategic initiatives/programsVENDOR MANAGEMENT Day-to-day management responsibility for high velocity de-manufacturing and disposition activities Manage operational excellence through data driven metrics and continuous improvement activities Drive vendor to increase capabilities/service offerings while acting as key point of escalationSUPPLY CHAIN Drive cross-functional strategic initiatives to improve supply chain efficiency and overall cost structure Drive complex business analysis to identify business opportunities to improve internal and external processes Work cross-functionally to identify and apply best practices and continuous process improvementsAUTOMATION ENHANCEMENT Influence internal technical teams to drive multisystem process changes Innovate to deliver net new reuse and sustainability processes Provide scalable solutions for both product and service offerings Set project requirements and drive results across internal and external.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
