Responsibilities:
Summary of Position:
The Maintenance Mechanic position requires a broad knowledge of production processes, equipment troubleshooting, and health and safety policies. Individuals are expected to perform routine as well non routine maintenance on all associated process equipment and systems with minimal supervision in a participative team environment. This position shall work either a 12 hour rotating or 8 hour standard (24 hr on-call) schedule.
Major activities include but are not limited to the following:
Determine the cause of equipment breakdowns while using hand tools, powered tools, electronic testing equipment or other means.
Follow scheduled Preventive Maintenance procedures and report any necessary repairs that fall outside of PM.
Requirements:
Minimum 3-5 years Industrial Maintenance or equivalent High School Diploma
Other Requirements:
Experience/knowledge troubleshooting plastics compounding equipment (extruders, feeders, pelletizers, classifiers, conveying systems).
Basic understanding of electricity, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
Ability to acquire aerial lift, and fork truck licenses.
Ability to prioritize work as well as work well with others.
Environmental and physical requirements of this position include: overtime, working in confined spaces, working at elevated heights, regular climbing of stairs and ladders, regular crouching, ability to wear a partial respirator to protect against dust and fumes, frequent walking, standing and reaching in front of body.
Good communication skills.
Desired Skills:
Hold a Master Electricians License
Experience troubleshooting AB PLC programs.
Able to show proficiency in industrial electronics, IE: 3 phase motors, motor control systems, AC and DC drives, PLCs, heater controls, HMI, etc.
Ability to read blueprints and / or schematics as well as fabricate needed components using a lathe, knee mill, grinder, etc.
Basic knowledge in troubleshooting and repair of K-Tron and Acrison feeders and their controls.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
